Schonbrunn Castle and Concert

We spent most of today at the castle and it is almost midnight now. We were pleased with our effort to get there and back by public transport. The castle and grounds were of course, grandiose, opulent and extravagant. The concert this evening was so exciting- small orchestra, two excellent singing soloists, a bass and a soprano, and two outstanding dancers. The first half was all Mozart, including songs from his operas, and the second half was all Strauss. Every item was a hit, and it ended like the last night at the proms, conductor including the audience in the conducted clapping. All so professional and wonderful.
To bed now, and up early in the morning to catch a tram and two trains to Vienna station and then off to Prague.
