Look at me!

This afternoon I joined the dragon boat team! What a way to start - down the Grand Canal of Venice. We stopped once at a pub and we all got off for drink. There was a lot of traffic, but our young, handsome and very competent Venetian sweep gave clear orders, and the team were fantastic at following them. And I must say that I was told I did well.
I am the one with the red hat and I am sitting beside my sister Robyn. Maybe tomorrow I will be sore and sorry but wow! What an experience!
Tomorrow is the big day for the team (without me of course). It is Vogolonga event tomorrow. Originally this was an event to protest about the motorised boats on the canal. It is now an annual event, attended by man-powered boats from all over the world.

I will sleep in, then try to find a spot to view the thousands of man-powered vessels, and meet Rob at the finish. Hopefully I won't get lost.
