Walking in Wales Day 1

Today we began our walk from Llangollen to Glyndyfrdwy - supposedly 13kilometres but we made a couple of mistakes reading our maps and directions so I think you could make that 17 kilometres. We began on a towpath along the canal as far as Horseshoe Falls (2nd photo) where the River Dee feeds into begin the canal. We then headed up and down the mountains, through farms, over stiles. It was quite a tough walk. The third photo is taken at the top of one of the mountains and you might be able to see the little village in the distant valley where we came from.

We finally went down a very steep road - so steep our legs were sore and walking backwards helped. We came all the way down to the River Dee again, crossed it and found our gorgeous hotel, the Berwyn Arms Check it out on YouTube.
