I saw the real Fat Controller: Bala Railway

Above left is Alice, the little Red Engine. The right photo and the one immediately below are the engine we had today. This train runs on a 2ft gauge!

Further below is a photo Allan took to prove that Robyn went on a historic train trip.

Then come the views from the train, which went around Lake Bala, with views towards the Snowdonia Mountains, - the Welsh at the "beach" and a "Welsh picnic". Finally our destination station, where we had an ice-cream and got back on the train for the home journey, in all 1.5 hours on the train.

 By the way, here the 1st language is Welsh. Little children do not speak English and we were told they just "pick it up later".
