After lunch today, Toshiko and I went to the local women’s meeting. These elderly farming women are something special. I feel so privileged to be accepted once again in this little group. They work very hard in the fields even though many are bent over and one is 93. But, they are so happy and they laugh so much. I tasted lots of different locally grown and home cooked vegetables and said honestly how delicious they were (in Japanese of course). When we left, they insisted on me taking lots of the food.
