We Women Work.

Apart from the scenery, there are two other important aspects of Nakatsue village. One is a large sports centre famous for hosting the Cameroon soccer team  as part of the World Soccer tournament in 2001.  The other is the Taio Gold Mine. High above the mine, are accomodation cabins that have not been used for a long time. The local women’s group, inspired by a community worker, decided to clean them up and try to attract people to use them.
This morning I was part of the cleaning team. I have to put lots of photos up because I just can’t choose. Mid morning was morning tea- of course - time for some Japanese conversation.

This table has a heated blanket. You sit on the floor and put your legs under the blanket.

After the hard work, Toshiko and I had lunch at the gold mine restaurant, where the view from our table was a beautiful picture

Gosh I love this beautiful place!
