Akiko’s Family Visits me

Akiko was one of my students at the University of Southern Queensland. My family will remember her spending Christmas with us at Meringandan. I visited her a little over 3 years ago at her home town, about a 3 hour drive from Nakatsue. Today Akiko, her husband Katsu and her three sons, Daiki, Ishi and Ken-shin came to visit me. It was a great day. Katsu patiently cared for the boys while Akiko and I talked and talked. They have invited me to visit them. I hope we can manage that. We spent the day at the gold mine - ate at the restaurant and the boys panned for gold, going home with some “treasures” but not much gold.
