Conwy City

Our very kind guide and driver, Vivienne, gave us a lovely tour of this historic city.

Walking Around the Marine Walk

Conwy Castle and City wall

The Smallest House in Britain (built in the 16th century)

"Plus Mawr", "the finest Elizabethan townhouse in Britain
"
Climbing up to walk around the top of the fortress walls.

Up on the Wall

Outside one of the defence "crenel".

A bit of History

After our tour, we had lunch and were driven to Vivienne's home where we met her husband Chris. By this time it was raining and foggy. We were planning on catching a bus to Bangor and then a bus to Aberystwyth, but Chris and Vivienne very kindly insisted on driving us to Dolgellau (more than half way back to Aberystwyth), On the way they showed us through a very well known touristy village called Betws y Coed.
What a wonderful day - thank you so much, Vivienne and Chris
