Premer to West Wyalong

The country is oh so dry and brown, but I stopped at Parkes at a wetland park for lunch and a walk.

At West Wyalong, I walked from my cabin to have dinner.  I have never seen so many brown front gardens, absolutely lacking in any growing thing. There’s not even brown dead grass- just dirt. It’s quite freaky. I didn’t have the heart to take a photo. It would be like rubbing dirt into wounds.
However, I can imagine what it looks like after rain, and the town has a nice feel about it. Being a really nice summery evening helps, and it is really quiet.
One more day of travel....
