Australia on Banned Postage List

Toshiko sent Keith a beautiful 90th birthday card, but it didn’t get out of Japan. It was returned to Toshiko with a note. 

Toshiko ”went to the post office and found out the reason. Japan Post put a notice dated August 26 on the wall that they stop sending letters or parcels or both to the countries on the list. Australia is one of them.” 

A shortage of flights to Australia? Another effect of COVID-19. So Toshiko sent her typically beautiful Japanese card electronically.
