Yesterday, I visited my friend Heather at Helensburgh. We spent the morning catching up on secret women's business and then went to Govinda Valley's "Springfest". After a scrumptious vego lunch, we were treated to a Kirtan session. That is where a Kirtan leader leads "call and response" songs. The words are Sanskrit and spiritual. The accompaniment is usually harmonium, finger cymbals, Indian drums, guitar etc. The leader and backing was great and we enjoyed singing with them. If you want to hear an example of it you can find this man at Sri Prahlada.
Yes, I know, I am a bit of a hippie underneath.
