Sudden Road Trip

For a while, I’ve been feeling tired and sometimes gloomy. Annalee (I think I’ve mentioned our Aged Care Case Manager before) suggested that I was worn out from some of the recent “stuff” - Keith’s lengthy hospitalisation, bushfire threat and then Covid-19 isolation. I also missed out on two planned Qld trips. I was so missing my Qld kids, grandkids and great grandkid. Well, for whatever reason, I felt a bit crap.
On Annalee’s suggestion to go north straight away, we began the process of getting a Qld Border Pass.
In the meantime, we heard that our long time nonogenarian friend, Dorrigo Norm died. His lovely octogenarian wife, Shirley, want so much for us to come to Dorrigo. Shortly after that sad news, my border pass arrived.
Keith is not well enough to go, but I am on my way. After the small “at home” funeral, David wil come down and drive me back to Brisbane,
Annalee  has organise a support system for Keith.
I’m enjoying the country driving while listening to audiobooks. Last night I stayed at Parkes and now I’m in Tamworth. It’s a nice cabin and I’ve just been for a walk around the tourist park. It backs on to the river.

Each day I’ve made frequent stops and done lots of walking. I plan to arrive in Dorrigo tomorrow morning.
